Grist, the Hunger Tide is a three-mana Black and Green planeswalker that can do a bit of self-mill and make Insect tokens, sacrifice creatures to destroy creatures or planeswalkers, or drain the life from your enemies based on the number of creatures in your graveyard

Its suboptimal and slow enough to not raise eyebrows or put people on edge, and its because of those dependencies that I enjoy this card a lot

I somehow managed to draft an abysmal Black-Red sacrifice deck without the crucial Retrofitted Transmogrants

Neither ability cares who controlled the creature that died, only which graveyard it was put into
